I was a junior in the engineering college and it just came to me one day that I genuinely hate what I'm doing everyday. lol. I did not like attending class, did not have any friends in my classes, and I quite frankly made no connections with the professors. So I switched and every opinion I had about Grand Valley changed with it. I like my classes now, enjoy the people in my classes, and I like the professors. So what I'm saying to you is if you genuinely hate what you're doing everyday then switch! You wont regret it if you're honest with yourself.

In regards to the post, it was great. You touched about every point there needs to be about what a teacher really is. It was a great read and may inspire my 6th blog post.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08679877207050743209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1595016574959851971.post-33776878788859704302016-12-08T13:14:54.139-08:002016-12-08T13:14:54.139-08:00Wow Kelsey. I'm so glad you wrote this post. I...Wow Kelsey. I'm so glad you wrote this post. I agree with everything you said. I have struggled to decide if teaching was best for me since I was a junior in high school and continue to wonder if I am making the right choice now and this is my 5th year of college. I have heard all of the same comments from people you have. I even have teacher who tell me not to be a teacher. But I am not sure what else I would do. It is ok to change your mind. You need to follow your heart and if teaching is not for you then I'm sure you are going to be great at whatever you decide to do. I just hope that whatever it is that you decide to do, I hope you are happy doing it. Great post Kelsey and I wish you luck. I know you will figure it out.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12173161803334951264noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1595016574959851971.post-7619683122997144692016-12-06T15:16:59.609-08:002016-12-06T15:16:59.609-08:00Kelsey you're not alone. Everyone told me not ...Kelsey you're not alone. Everyone told me not to go into teaching so I originally was majoring in accounting, but my heart just wasn't in to it so I made the switch to education. I always wanted to be a teacher and like you, I still think about maybe I should have just stuck with accounting, but after working with students I know I made the right choice. I also agree with you that teaching is so much more and most people don't realize what it is all about either. I'd encourage you to measure your feelings by when you're with students, rather than thinking about it in the abstract. If you ever need to talk about it, my door is open.

C's: 5/5John Goldenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18212162438307044259noreply@blogger.com
